As an NDIS participant, a Plan management assists you by managing your funding and payment of services and supports you receive. The process involves submitting any claims, paying providers for services received and providing regular updates on your budget and funding balance.

What are the benefits from having a Plan Manager?
You have someone there to help you make the sure you get the most out of your plan which means you no longer have the burden of managing your funding, needing to access the NDIS portal, lodge invoices, or manage administration. The Plan Manager will take care of all of this for you and provide regular updates, and answer any queries you may have. You will also have the flexibility and preference to use providers if they are not NDIS registered.
How do I get a Plan Manager?
To become plan managed, you must have ‘Improved Life Choices’ included in your NDIS plan.
You can request a review of your plan, or wait until your plan is ready for review. If you have an upcoming planning meeting or review, be sure to request 'Improved Life Choices' in your plan. This will cover all plan management fees which means there is no expense to you. If your current plan does not include ‘Improved Life Choices’ and you want to be plan managed, you can request a review of your NDIS plan. Please contact us if you need any help.
How does NDIS funding work?
It is very common for people to be overwhelmed by their NDIS plans and wonder what all the categories mean. In brief, there are three types of support budgets that may appear in your NDIS plan: core, capacity building and capital supports. Your NDIS planner will tailor your NDIS plan with support budget categories and funding connected to achieving your goals and supporting you in your day-to-day life.
What is covered in my NDIS Plan?
The NDIS will fund claims for ‘reasonable and necessary’ supports. These are goods or services are listed in the NDIS Plan Categories and are directly relevant to achieving the specific goals and objectives detailed in your NDIS plan. Your plan is specifically tailored to your needs making each NDIS participants plan different.
Does Plan Management cost my anything?
No. Receiving plan management services means no out of pocket expense to you. The NDIA covers these costs. You just need to make sure that ‘Improved Life Choices’ is included in your plan.
How do I change my existing Plan Manager to Simply You Plan Management?
Yes, you can change plan managers at any time. If you are not satisfied with your plan manager’s services, you have every right to change. You can do this any time at no cost to you. First you will need to contact your previous plan manager to request that they cancel their service booking. Once completed, we can register you, and start to manage your plan.
If I have a Plan Manager, am I still in control of my plan?
All NDIS participants have a right to have choice and control over the services they purchase. We will support you by talking to you about your plan and discussing with you what you might like to purchase to be able to achieve your goals. We understand what works for one person may not work for another therefore tailor our services to suit you.
